Hot Cocoa: Spanish & Mayan

The votes were in and the cocoa is sugar-free. I will be making a couple of jars with sugar, but that will be subject to the availability of coca and demand. Meanwhile, the sugar-free option gives you the freedom to sweeten with your favourite sweetener (stevia, honey, agave, molasses) and to your liking.

Tomorrow, at the Warda, Blessed Tree will début two mixes of hot coca which will be packaged into our lovely hand-painted Chalkboard Paint Topped Storage jars.

One is a Spanish mix made of high quality, rich cocoa powder with orange zest, vanilla and dark chocolate shavings.

The second is a spicy Mayan mix with the same quality cocoa powder and cayenne (red) pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon.

You’ll have the chance to taste test at the usual shop hours between 12:30 and Asr, only at:

Fact: the terms ‘hot cocoa’ and ‘hot chocolate’ are often used interchangeably.  In reality, hot cocoa is the drink brewed from cocoa powder and the latter is brewed from chocolate.
